The places that we had stayed at were also extremely clean and had the perfect cozy feeling of home. I’ll always remember this trip. I love randomly going through my camera roll and reliving all the moments – the plane rides, sunrises, pyramids, horse-back riding, pottery making, desert safari vids, pictures with the boys overlooking Cairo, and everything in between. Every moment was unique and special, and if you ever come across the opportunity to go on a trip like this, do it. Life is too short, seize those life-changing experiences. Thanks to everyone who made the trip what it was, teens, mentors, tour guides, and hopefully we’ll gather again for another one.

Egypt and Umrah - A Once in a Lifetime Journey

Honestly, this trip in particular opened up my eyes to not only a completely different part of the world, but to the people who I was surrounded by day and night. Spain was an amazing place to visit because it was so rich with Islamic history and I had the chance to participate in very engaging activities. This was the very first Arkanum international trip which I had the honor to be a part of. Before going on this trip, I thought I knew everyone pretty well. By the end of the trip my views on these people changed completely. These people went from being my friends to being my family which is something that I never ever knew could happen. People to this day ask me what my favorite trip that I went on with Arkanum is and without hesitation I say the Spain and Turkey trip.
