Our Impact

Building a school in Kibele, Zanzibar

Arkanum had an incredible experience volunteering to build a school in Kibele, Zanzibar. We collaborated with organizations PDS and had a dream to complete the project from the ground up. Through six days of hard work and dedication, we ensured that the school met high standards and would be sustainable for years to come.

A major highlight of the project was the collaboration with the local community. Arkanum communicated with them to understand their needs and worked together to create a school that would best serve the community. This partnership allowed us to build relationships and have a positive impact on the lives of the people in Kibele, Zanzibar.

The school we built will function as an educational center, providing quality education and a safe environment for children to learn and grow. Arkanum takes pride in their contribution to the development and prosperity of the area.

This experience has reinforced our belief in the power of volunteering to make a positive impact. We are dedicated to continuing our efforts to improve the lives of those in need and actively seek out opportunities to serve and make a difference in the world.

Volunteering at Syrian Refugee Camp in Lebanon

Our recent visit to a refugee camp in Lebanon provided a profound and enlightening experience, offering a fresh perspective on the difficulties faced by refugees and displaced individuals. The focus of our efforts was on Syrian refugees who had endured significant trauma and required support.

Interacting with the children within the camp had a particularly powerful impact. These young ones had undergone substantial upheaval and were in need of positive role models and guidance. Our dedicated volunteers readily stepped forward to fulfill this role.

By engaging in activities such as playing games, creating crafts, and engaging in conversations, we established strong connections with the children. This fostered a sense of stability and reliability in their lives. Our mentorship and positive influence instilled hope in their hearts and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations, offering a brighter outlook for their future.
